Want to be of service? There are many ways to participate at the area level. Join us at the DASC monthly meeting to find out where you can be of service. The Area Sub-committees are responsible for different duties that help us carry the message of recovery.
Helpline
This subcommittee is made of many addicts who donate their time to answer the phones and assist those addicts who need help. New volunteers are always welcome. Refer anybody for any information related to the area: 1-888-‘NA WORKS’

Outreach
This subcommittee is to help overcome the isolation that hinders the growth and survival of our groups. The focus tends to be on groups that are geographically isolated, but may also include assistance to groups isolated by such things as personal choice, language, cultural differences, or location within a locked facility not served by a Hospitals and Institutions Committee. You can contact the Outreach Sub-Committee by sending an email to outreach@dallasareana.org.
Hospitals & Institutions (H&I)
The purpose of an H&I meeting is to carry the NA message of recovery to addicts who do not have full access to regular Narcotics Anonymous meetings. H&I meetings and presentations, except those in longer term facilities, are intended to simply introduce those attending to the basics of the NA Program.
NA Literature and Inmate Tablets: How to get free NA Literature onto inmate tablets through NAWS.
Reaching Out: Quarterly newsletter of hope and inspiration for incarcerated NA members.
Public Relations
The subcommittee is responsible for ensuring that anyone who is looking for recovery can find NA and a new way to live. They perform activities to increase the awareness and credibility of the NA program. They educate the general public and professionals by providing accurate, clear and concise information. More information can be found on our site on the For The Public, For Friends And Family and For Professionals pages.
Guidelines
This subcommittee reviews the Dallas Area Service Committee’s Policy/Guidelines and makes updates and recommends policy changes to the service body. The document is used to define the structure and processes used by the Dallas Area Service Committee. Anything contained in the document has been agreed upon by the Groups that make up the DASC. You can find a copy of the guidelines here.
Special Events
The Special Events subcommittee plans events for the Dallas Area. They can host anniversary celebrations, speaker jams and other events to provide fun and help spread the message of recovery.
Cleansheet
The Cleansheet is an area newsletter informing people of clean time, events and NA-related anouncements. The sub-committee works to provide the newsletter monthy.
Cleansheet Disclosure

The opinions expressed do not necessarily reflect, represent, nor are to be attributed to the Dallas Area of Narcotics Anonymous, its member groups or Narcotic Anonymous as a whole.
